Crowding out my Interests

I entered the world of academics in English to do what I love. But for some reason, reading novels is just not the same anymore when you have to do it as work. The same thing happened to watching movies when I decided to do a second field in film studies. Now, I'm left with music - and I vow never to make music a serious field of study. Otherwise, I'll have to take up another activity, such as basket weaving, as a hobby.
